It is a dubbing serial of a Hindi serial Pratigna Mann Ki Awaaz which was telecasted on Star Plus channel. Pavithra is a most popular serial which is being telecasted on Maa TV at 2:30 from Monday to Friday. It also won Indian Television Academy Awards, Kalakar awards, The Global Indian Film and Television Honors in 2011 and Indian Telly Awards in 2012 in different categories. The show has won STAR Parivaar Awards in different categories in the year 2010, 20. While it was telecasted in Star plus, the show got a huge TRP ratings at earlier stage but later when the show ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’ from Ekta Kapoor got telecasted on Sony, The show eventually lost its TRP’s and it's ended on 27th Oct, 2012 but again season 2 serial was announced on 19th February, 2013.
The story moves on with a lovely drama and got a large number of viewers. Though initially, Pavithra doesn’t like Krishna much, but later fell in love with him on recognizing his love and care towards her. Within the same family Adrash, brother of Pavithra marries Krishna’s sister in order to protect Pavithra. As the story progresses, Krishna fell in love with Pavithra and eventually made Pavithra to marry him. Though they are traditional they strive to educate their children Pavithra and Arushi. Whereas Saxena’s family is entirely different from them. Thakur’s family lives in Allahabad with good power in the city. Pavithra is from Saxena family and Krishna is from Thakur’s. The story is a plot between two families Saxena and Thakur family. The show is all about a woman who fights for her right, no matter how long it goes, she believes in her individuality and morals.
